Crew Chief Derick Zimmer

Derick Zimmer is the Crew Chief for the NASCAR Late Model stocl car #92 driven by Vince Sands. Derick is an accomplished mechanic who's racing experience started on dirt tracks nearly 10 years ago. In addition to the mechanical responsibilities of the car Derick also serves as Vince's spotter during all races.

Derick had an opportunity to drive the car on the track by himself during a practice day at a pace speed to get a feel for what the driver sees during a race. His most vocal comment was questioning how any driver can see out of the car ! It helped to reinforce how important good communication is between the spotter and driver.

Ron has been a dedicated member of the team since it's start. Ron can be counted on to insure the car is ready to go onto the track. Ron makes sure the mechanics are ready as Vince and Derick discuss the upcoming run prior to strapping in.

Walter has just joined the team for the 2007 season. An experience racer he has driven late models the the former Strohs tour in the northeast as well as compaining a 9 second dragster. Walters racing experience will be invaluable to the team this season.
