2005 Season

2005 was a story of two seasons, pre-wreck and post-wreck. The wreck we suffered in late July set us back much more than we had anticipated. What we thought at first was a minor setback turned out to be much more annoying than we could had ever imagined. While there was not any significant damage, the impact jarred every part of the car. Unfortunately you cannot diagnose many of the problems unless you are at race speeds making the recovery process quite time consuming. We spent the entire month of August trying to work all of the bugs out of the car. What was most frustrating is how well we were running prior to the accident. We were right there and ready to step into the ranks of being a very competitive car.

To be fair 2005 ended up being a very successful year for the team. Most important has been the progress of our learning curve. We understand the car much better now than we did at the start of the season. We have an understanding of suspension set-ups and how the car reacts to changes.

The wreck that changed our season. We spun in turn 4 and and while trying to avoid us the #20 car spun into us. The impact was on our left side and not visible in the picture. The damage was not severe but the impact to our set-up took us over a month to recover from.
